Stupidly, we had planned to get our visas for Mozambique, a week before we were supposed to fly, over the Christmas period… not recommeneded.

After spending a couple of hours trying to find the flippin’ embassy we eventually found the office block in which it was on the 10th floor. We asked the receptionists to see if we can see the Mozambican visa people, to which they replied…’No, the office is closed and wont re-open until the 4th of January.’ That’s a bummer, I thought as we fly out the 4th from Joburg (we were currently in Cape Town). After the receptionists not really helping, I asked for a number for someone who worked in the embassy which, to my surprise, they gave me.

I rang this lady up and she was really helpful and made an appointment with us, the next day, to sort out our visas. I think actually this right kafuffle actually turned out for the better as we paid the lowest price to get it done in 2 hours. Boom. We got approved and in a week we will be flying to Mozambique!
