We woke up this morning to be greeted by British of weather!! Yes Ladies and Gentleman it rained...all day!!!

So we got a lift to the school this morning and everything was 100% better! We saw 10 children today...some from yesterday and some new faces. We left feeling much more relaxed and looking forward to going back in on wednesday.

We walked...yes walked in the rain...back to the Chill and Surf and had lunch, chilling out until Corn was ready. Then we left for the mall in the car that has no back seat, just a matress and a sheet!!! We went to the Mall and while we were having a smoothie we saw some of the children from Ukhanyo. It was really strange to see them outside of school and we think that they were really impressed to see us!! They had been asked by their teacher (Colinlisa, or something beginning with 'X') to save up some money so that he could take them to the cinema. Some of them don't have a tv at home or even know what a cinema is, so it must have been quite an experience for them!!

We were expecting a lift back from the Mall at about 3:45 but were still waiting at 4:10...that's Africa time, darling!!!

P.S. We saw a baboon yesterday...yes a baboon in the garden, how cool is that????

Life at home
So today Uncle Rog attacked Nannan's flat with some help or hindrance from me. I've now got white and apple green hair and UR looks a lot more grey than he did. Four rooms later and Nan is pleased with the results...just in time for her birthday. Dad is getting very excited about Mondaya and the great fishing trip. Unfortunately he's running out of local victims to talk fishing with and has pinned poor Nannan to her chair with tales of the one that got away ,she'll be pleased to get back into her own flat again! Jennie has had a wonderful week in Crete, staying in a hotel and enjoying tours of the island. Only three children's reps out of 40. Lottie is off to the wedding tonight and looking forward to a weekend away from the madhouse I think. Liz, have you had a chance to contact Father Ted? Please try if you can. Jane called in on Monday morning with a lovely torch for you to take away...I will send it with the books but need you to confirm an address. We'd like to hear more about the local area and the temperature. Is it all as you had expected? Missing you ...especially as your room looks suprisingly tidy! No I haven't thrown anything away! Take special care on your road trip, look forward to hearing all about it with pictures. Much love xxx
