gateway theatre of shopping or gateway is the largest shopping center in africa and the largest in the southern hemisphere. it is located in umhlanga ridge in umhlanga north of durban kwa zulu natal south africa. it has almost all south africas and major international stores. gateway has 18 movie theatres, 6 nouvea cinemas, playhouse called the barnyard theatre, more than 70 resturants, 350 stores, the wave house and the theme park called the fantasy forest. it also has the skate park, the highest indoor rock climbing in the world and the highest fountain. service include parking for almost 10 000 vehicles, a car wash, shuttle service, family rooms are provided for baby feeding and changing nappies.
