The best getaway from the city if that is what is needed. Cullinan is the cutest place,quite,peaceful and by far the best place to hang out and have a quite sunday lunch and field trip.

There are plenty resturants and bars to go to, this place is a food haven!!! Grab a few friends or family and head out on the train or car to see this place. It is usually carling with people as the Cullinan mine is the hot spot there.

Not only is it a cultural outing but deffinatly a historical one too. One can learn about all the famous people who lived back there in the 1850's and even futher back-the McHardy House Museum still has some of the original furniture and household pieces from when Mrs McHardy lived there.

There is a Cullinan tourism centre that allows you to read about the mine and the history of Cullinan. Trips down to the mine is also avaliable.

Its very family orientated and just 30 min outside of Pretoria.
