JBay Supertubes

We arrived at Jeffrey's Bay, or JBay as it's affectionately known, in the late afternoon. Our accommodation at Dreamland was a beachside studio flat with a gorgeous seaview, right on Supertubes. We had been lucky to get a room as we arrived in the middle of the Billabong Pro Surf Championships and our flat was situated right next to the stands and judges at Supertubes. We were only staying that evening and left the next morning, so we didn't catch that much of the action, mainly surfers practising on the early morning waves. The town was rammed with surf stores and is great for snapping up surf gear bargains. It would have been nice to have stayed longer and hopefully seen more of the competition.
