After a day of debriefing and travel, we arrived in East London this evening. We stopped briefly at our hotel to check in and freshen up before we were warmly welcomed by ITEC - the Institute of Training and Education for Capacity Building. A team of educators briefed us on the challenges facing education in the Eastern Cape which remains one of the poorest and lowest performing provinces in all of South Africa. Despite the challenges, groups like ITEC are working hard to ensure quality education for all students.
