Unlike a lot of fellow travellers, I tend to only dip my feet into a country, quite often only staying a day or two before heading off somewhere else.

Great pictures and an excellent read! I saw a video on youtube of tortoises mating, which was rather surreal...the noise the male produces is something else. Too bad that fella didn't get any that day. I do have to criticize the shark meat thing, though. Don't mean to sound preachy, but the shark killing is generally gruesome and inhuman, and the fact that the meat is that cheap is just mind-boggling. At the rate they're going, the sharks will be gone soon anyway, along with much of the other fish.
