Question: What is the current political structure/government in this country/region? Who has power, and how do those in power interact with their people?

The president is Good luck Jonathan. He was elected for four years in 2010. He is checked by The Senate, and The House Of Representatives. In addition, British has the power of the region. It's very large and has a huge population. Britain ruled political institutions rather than establishing a new administrative network. All important decisions were made by the british governor, and the african ruler. Britain controlled Nigeria and was also divided into the colony.
