Early this morning we left Essaouira by coach to Marrakech. We arrived early afternoon and got a taxi to our hotel. Our hotel was in the middle of the medina again. Our taxi could only take us to the main square- Djamaa el Fna. From here we began to make our way through the medina. We could only go so far until we became lost and had to ask for help. A local man was happy to assist us- for a fee of course! The riad was gorgeous. It seemed like a different world from the medina. The owner gave us mint tea and biscuits while we recovered from our journey.
We then moved into our room, freshened up and went for a wander through the souk in the medina.
