We drove over the High Atlas Mountains today to Marrakech. More later.
This is a very busy place. We're in a 3 star riad (inn). Left the bus. Now traveling by horse and buggy. (Like true tourists)

We drove over the mountains on a road built by the French. (The French Foreign Legion, in fact) The French wanted to subdue the Berbers in the southern part of the country.

The Golden State
A very familiar landscape! It reminds me of California when it's not raining...the Golden State! With a little bit of Martian Red thrown in, too
