Thanks for the good wishes messages. It was really nice to find them waiting when we logged on. Arrived safely early Saturday evening still 28 degrees! What a bustling place! Once we got through the onslaught of kids trying to sell us packs of Kleenex (3 Dirhams - about 5p) went walk about through the start of the Medina. What an experience! It was dark by then and we decided it was probably better to go back in daylight -too many alleys and Morrocan males to cope with, though no offers of camels for Lauren which was a bit disappointing - Ive told her she must try harder! Took a good look round yesterday (Sunday) through lots of souks selling pretty much everything, including tortoises of all sizes, iguanas and baby chameleons. Ended in Djeema El Fna main square where artistes perform. Lauren had a snake round her neck within about 5 seconds - she was not happy! Bit upsetting to see monkeys on chains and we saw the saddest, most pathetic looking horse pulling a cart. Its an amazing place though, just takes a bit of getting used to the noise, traffic and hustling from kids! Signing off now. Take care all - J and L x
