Hi Guys, I am playing catch up again with your blogs. I must say that I am so proud of you both. You two are doing such a great job. I do so love all your pictures and commentary. Ann, you look so beautiful in those caftans, especially the blue one. Regarding learning the language via soap operas, I have to tell you a funny story. When I was teaching Esl with the Clay County literacy coalition, I have a wonderful woman named Magdalena from Ecuador. She told me when she first came to this country, she learned a little English from watching soap operas. At one point she decided to teach me and another volunteer Spanish. I was not as good a student as she. I tried watching the soap operas in Spanish like she suggested. I couldn't keep up. By the time, I understood one word, they were two sentences ahead! lol Keep up the good work you two!!! Thanks for the cat picture. I am truly sad about the animal population control, but I do understand. :(
