Out of Africa

Well, we made it safe and sound out of Africa. Boy, what a trip so far. We are now on the island of Mauritius -- it's beautiful. Weather is so-so. Cloudy, but a lot of sun too.

We were thoroughly impressed with Africa. Friendly people -- at least where we were -- who were anxious to tell us about their lives. And the wildlife....WOW! It must be like what Lewis and Clark experienced when they travelled in North America 200 years ago. Herds and herds of animals and a lot of different species. The last day, we saw a Leopard and her cub on the way to the airstrip. Joyce got teary when we lifted off from the Okavango.
