August is the European/American summer, so Nairobi basically empties out. It feels like everyone is on holiday or home assignment, and the weather is normally pretty cold (for Nairobi) and rainy. Our overseas move started in 2005, with a brief vacation in India. Then we joined the Tsunami relief team in Sri Lanka for a couple of years. We were then based in Nairobi, Kenya for 9yrs. Then based in Geneva, Switzerland for the past 4 years with Murray in a global role still travelling around to the hot spots.
