Day Trip to Mt. Lngonot

Took a day trip to Mt. Longonot, approximately 40 miles outside Nairobi. Hiked up the 9,000' extinct volcano. It was a long trip up a narrow dusty path but once we got to the top it was worth it. Thomas and Rob were great traveling companions.

On the way home to Nairobi, stopped at the Transit Hotel for a nourishing(?) meal and a Tusker Beer. Stopped at a small chapel built by Italian POW's in 1942.
