HAPPY APRIL FOOLS DAY EVERYONE! Yes, this fantastic holiday does also occur in Ghana. When we tried to play April Fools Day tricks on the staff they did catch on after a few seconds of thinking about what was going on. When I woke up, someone had switched the buffet dinner table and the table where all the snacks (pretty much just white bread and chocolate spread) are located, which was super trippy.

When we arrived at Christ in the morning, Rudolph, an 8 year old orphan, was super sick, more so than anything I have ever seen before. He could not hold his head up and his eyes were rolling back into his head so someone brought him to the emergency room. Even besides Rudolph, Christ was out of control today. We went over these three phrases for over two hours:
1. "It is my book."
2. "It belongs to me."
3. "The book is mine."
No joke. Two straight hours just repeating these phrases. I wanted to stab someone (I realize this is a little extreme, but you weren't there...)

Days like this are really frustrating at Christ. It's hard to try and watch a teacher teach for over 75 kids ranging from ages 1-4. And it's EXTREMELY frustrating to watch the teachers try to teach toddlers verbs and tenses. Kids this age should be playing most of the day and learning an occasional letter from the alphabet, however, the facility in which the orphanage is located is SO SMALL that playing is impossible. Teachers don't really understand that English is the SECOND language these kids are picking up.

Miss everyone!
