What are the gender roles like in Modern day Egypt? What are the relationships between family?



Only the wealthy can get a house before they get married in Cairo, Egypt. Most of the people live with their moms and dads before they move in together. They do this to save money, because the want to prepare themselves for life changing event, because that takes a lot of money. Plus, Egypt's people are not mostly well paid like a lot of Americans. Most of the marriages are arranged and that means that the son or daughter have to do what they say and they have to marry the arranged wife or husband that has been chosen.
