Choosing good MP3 Player for travels. Rechargeable with upto 30hrs music playback or disposable battery player.
The Sony Rechargeable NWZ-A818 8GB MP3 Walkman can give upto 30hrs music playback. While the iriver T60 Plays up to 19 hours with a AAA-size battery. The second sounds like the best bet. While travelling Thailand, Oz and New Zealand will I get much opportunity to plug in and charge?
Reply to this Hi Adam,
Welcome to TravelBlog.
You'll find plenty of places to recharge your batteries (literally, as well :-) ) in Australia and NZ. Rechargeable batteries are more than worth the initial expense in my opinion, and you can get lightweight chargers which recharge both AA and AAA. I have often just plugged in my phone or battery charger when I've been waiting at the airport or sitting in a cafe somewhere :-)
Reply to this To be honest i wouldnt want the hassle of carrying a charger and extra batterys along, i tend to take devices that have inbuilt lithium batterys and then i use plug points in cafes, airports, travel agencys where ever i can
Thx Mike😉
Reply to this I chose an mp3-player with flash memory only (less breakable) which has served me well for two and a half years now. It uses a single triple A, and I never had any problems finding places to recharge it (assuming you won't be living in the jungle). Be aware though, that some sockets in Asia are quite scary and in many your plugs will simply fall straight out again requiring you to build little pedestals of available furniture or items you carry along...
Do your homework on the various types of electricity supplied in the countries you plan to visit, and check if you will require adapters. If you are going to purchase one avoid those bulky useless one-plug-fits-all monsters they sell at hideous prices in the airports. The best and smallest adapters are usually found in the local marketplaces anyway. Also factor in if you are going to bring any other electronic gadgets such as razors or cameras that also operate on similar batteries.
