Looking for the best way to see Peru and Brazil.
19 years ago, March 2nd 2005 No: 1 Msg: #1373
I am looking to take some time out to travel around Peru and Brazil, have seen plenty of tour operators that offer deals, but am sure there must be a better way to experience the best that is on offer without going through a commercial tour operator for everything.

Anyone out ther who can offer a better solution?

Advice much appreciated Reply to this

hi, renting a car in Peru's not really an option and Brazil's far too big to drive around. To see Peru you will probably spend a lot of time on buses - they go everywhere from everywhere and are cheap.
For Brazil - get an airpass. You MUST do this before you fly there and combine it with a flight into a city in Brazil (international). Speak to you travel agent - airpasses are incredible value and are flexible too. It's perhaps $400US for 4 flights - and if you've ever looked at Brazil on a map you might realise that it's often 1000s of kms between cities with not a lot in between

hope that helps
