The European Union wants to introduce a Digital Green Certificate showing Covid vaccinations or immunization.
What is your experience with it in Europe or worldwide?
I personally was vaccinated once with Biontech and look forward to my second in June. I plan to travel to Jordan and Israel in october and Portugal in november this year.
Until now I only have my yellow WHO International Certificate of Vaccination or Prophylaxi but I hope that I get my EU Digital Green Certificate soon and especially before my holidays in automn.
So as of today I have no experience with it and look forward for feedback from others using this pass. Therefore I want to create this topic on TM. Feel free to add your own experience with this certificate and its reception worldwide.
I hope that very soos we are able again to travel where and when we want.
Reply to this Update: I have installed the application CovPass on my smartphone, uploaded two vaccination QR codes and want to spend a night in Austria on july 24 and another in Czech Republic on July 31. I hope that everything will be fine.
Reply to this Another update: The night in Austra went well but the one in Czech Republic was cancelled my myself.
Instead I spent a night in Switzerland and now I am in France, Spain and Portugal and in every hotel and restaurant they ask me about my European CovPass app and even make photos of it.
I also have a backup smartphone with me which has the same app installed and the WHO vaccination pass in paper form.
The German government thinks that the crisis will be over next spring and I already plan visits to Ukraine, Russia, Mongolia, China, eventually Tunisia and Taiwan if possible next year.
I guess all this depends on the question wether a new variant of Covid comes up which might not be covered by the current vaccinations.

Situation in spain is different than to France: In France they asked me about the CovPass App and in Spain not. This applies in both countries for Café and Restaurants where you sit inside and for hotels.
I hope to reach Portugal in a few days and will tell you about situation there.
Reply to this Update Portugal: In Restaurants, Cafés and Hotels I have been, noone asked about the app. On the border coming from Spain, there was no check.
