Suggestions for romantic place or venue for marriage proposal.

My girlfriend and I have been together for two years already. I have been wanting to propose to her to really settle down with her for good. I want to spend the rest of my life with her. I was planning to propose to her in a foreign country. Somewhere very romantic yet unique. I thought of Paris but it has already been a mainstream for proposals. I want it to be special for both of us; something that both of us will never forget. Can you give me suggestions on the place and what I should do to make it special? Reply to this

Per the movie "A Little Romance: I recommend proposing in a gondola in Venice as you pass under the Bridge of Sighs as the sun sets.
There are other movies where proposals are made in romantic locations. That would be a good starting point, as you think of you and your fiancé's favorite movies. Reply to this

Here is your first test of marriage. How close have you been paying attention? Where does she thinks would be amazing? Has she dropped any hits. Cuz girls do that. Talked about sunsets, mountaintops, shown you a picture of a romantic bridge in Paris full of locks, has a passion for conservation of a certain animal, wants to travel to a bucket list locale? Mentioned how she would love to see the northern lights, or the blue lagoon in Iceland? A certain food, swimming with whale sharks, what are her hobbies, her passions? Build on that. You will create the most memorable proposal for her. You may not even have to leave your country to do so! Best of luck. Reply to this

Bryan, as an Indiaphile, I have to recommend that monument to love - the Taj Mahal. Do it by moonlight. Oh, and stay at the Hotel Oberoi Amarvilas - the rooms have views of the fabulous building. Now all you need is an excuse to book it! Reply to this

Hi Bryan! I'm from New York and I'd suggest the Central park Bow Bridge in NY. It's really a romantic place though it's just a pedestrian walkway, and to make it more exciting and surprise her, try setting up a flash mob for her. That'd be really surprising. Anyway, Good luck on your marriage proposal. Reply to this

In response to: Msg #205356 Bryan, maybe you should try somewhere in Africa. There are beautiful places in Tanzania like Bazza resorts or the beautiful Seychelles in East Africa Reply to this

The situation is quite individual. It is important to consider your personal history. How and where your relationship developed. The stronger the place will be tied to you the better. I can share my personal experience. My husband and I met in . And 3 years later we went there again for the holidays. It was there that one evening he made me an offer to be his wife. Of course, I said yes. In any case, the atmosphere and your personal perception will be much more important than the environment.
