My wife and I are traveling to Japan for October. We'll fly into Tokyo for a few days and then most likely on to the islands around Okinawa. We want to keep our options open so we're only booking the international flight and 6 nights in a Tokyo hotel. I've heard about "air passes" that allow you to fly between Japanese airports, but they must be purchases before arriving in Japan since they're discounted for international travelers. Has anyone ever used these?
