Only kicking 1 out of 6 penalty attempts is appalling. If they even made 2, they would be in the final on Sunday. Reply to this

Congratulations Australian fans on last night's result - a great game to watch.

Wasn't expecting the "All Blacks, All Blacks" chant from the crowd though :-) Reply to this

I heard that chant near the end of the game, which will be the slightest precursor of the atmosphere at Eden Park during the final tomorrow night. I'd expect almost all of the "neutral" fans to support New Zealand. Reply to this

So you have! It was a good match on Friday, though I think that game should have been between Australia and France - Wales deserved to be in the final tonight. Reply to this

Wow, what a tight final - match has just finished. The French played the best they have during the past 6 weeks, but it wasn't enough - All Blacks go through the tournament undefeated.

Final score: New Zealand 8 defeat France 7. Reply to this

My goodness, in all the excitement following the end of the match, I forgot to do the same in my previous post - so CONGRATULATIONS to the All Blacks - it will be one very happy nation tonight! Reply to this

That was the longest second half of rugby I've ever watched!! So very proud of the ABs, and proud to be a Kiwi!!

The parade is on tomorrow for those in Auckland - think it starts at 2pm, but check the news. There's also Kiwi Day Out at the Domain 12pm - 6pm. Reply to this

It was a gripping, tense match befitting of a final. The French played wonderfully well and were gallant in defeat - and their performance was set prior to the game when they moved forward from an arrow formation to accept the challenge of an impassioned Haka; my highlight of the tournament!

I think the All Blacks sucummbed a little to the pressure as they made uncharacteristic errors. But even if the French did play slightly the better on the night (as some are saying) New Zealand clearly had the best team in the tournament and are thoroughly deserving winners. Reply to this
