The second biggest single-sport tournament in the world is on - are you blogging from there?
The Rugby World Cup experience of
tartantraveller is finally at an end - and before finishing, he also saw Japan v Tonga, New Zealand v France, South Africa v Namibia, Scotland v Argentina, South Africa v Samoa and England v Scotland. This makes a total of 11 games, which is very impressive.
Those blogs are here:
...and so it continues...
...and comes to an end

I think it's just a generic rugby player, promoting the
world cup Fan Trail - a 4.5 km walk from downtown Auckland to Eden Park.
In case you're in the Cloud during the day, but are going to a match later the same day at Eden Park, the big screens which the games are played on at the Cloud display messages when it's getting close to the time you need to leave by if you're going to Eden Park via the fan trail.
Reply to this Two views of the Haka - one challenging France and the other challenging Canada.
Reply to this We're down to the business end of the tournament now - semi-finals next weekend!

Reply to this HUGE weekend of Rugby is upon us - Wales v France today and New Zealand v Australia tomorrow. I cannot recall any rugby match (including previous World Cup Finals) that has had a bigger build-up then then tomorrow's All Blacks v Wallabies game. Would love to see some blogs on the atmosphere and anticipation over there in NZ at present. Will keep scouring the site for any blogs.
Reply to this Good luck tomorrow Shane - and any other Wallaby fans!!
Reply to this Good luck tomorrow to you Jo and all of the All Black fans! May the best team on the day win.
Reply to this And best of luck to both to the supporters of the Wales and France. Their semi-final has just commenced. May the best team on the day win that encounter!
Reply to this At the fan zone for this one , thousands here, five hours to go, and am just a bit nervous!

I think Wales were the best team on the day, but they didn't win. The New Zealand v Australia game was one of the most brutal I've seen - cannot remember a game with so many players needing a visit to the blood bin.
Thus: 3rd Place playoff on Friday 21 October - Australia v Wales
Final on Sunday 23 October - New Zealand v France

Wales deserve to be in the final more than France, who lost 2 pool games - unfortunate they didn't capitalise on those goal kicking opportunities in the semi.
