I dont know how to use twitter but noticed one of my blogs had twitter x4 written above it. so not knowing what that meant i clicked on the 4 and that opened twitter but i couldnt work out anything else...does that mean people have commented on my blog via twitter?

Hi Tam,

Think of Twitter as status updates of 140 characters or less, known as 'tweets'. Although it began on this level of simplicity, there are now a lot more bells and whistles to it, such as the ability to shorten status updates and upload photos or videos.

Other people can then 'retweet' the original tweet etc, giving way to an extremely fast spread of information. Thus, the speed at which news can get to the outside world about a natural disaster or other event.

The '4' refers to the number of people who have tweeted (recommended) your blog entries. For you to tweet your own account you would need to be logged into Twitter, that's why the Twitter login window would have opened when you clicked on the Twitter link on TB.
