Just before our last trip I looked at the weather forecast and it said sunny and rainy. My wife wasn't too happy as she likes the sun and hates the rain. I on the other hand was looking forward to it.
I used to like going to a nice hot country with constant sunshine as in the UK we have very little sunshine however as time goes by I'm hoping for a different type of weather.
I like clouds as they make a great back ground for pictures so sunny and rainy is perfect weather in my opinion.
I know some people like cold weather as they like to ski/snowboard.
Which type of weather do you prefer and why?

In general, we would prefer warmth and sunshine. Summer is our favorite season. We agree with you that a few puffy white clouds make the photographs much better.
If we are planning a beach vacation we again want the warm summer weather and lots of sunshine.
We love the fall when the colors change and the temperatures cool off. We love cool evenings for sleeping with the windows open. That is why we are happy living in San Francisco right now.
We love a good thunder storm with rain, wind and lightening. Love hearing the wind howl. That is why I loved my time in Antarctica--- there is always a lot of great wind.
We had a great afternoon in Bali sitting on a balcony watching the pouring rain.
We love being in west Texas in the middle of no where and watching a storm roll across the plains. There is nothing so beautiful. If given an opportunity I would pick and chose when I have the rain but that is not the way it works.
We embrace the weather-- whatever it is. We will not let it stop us from exploring.
Reply to this I prefer the summer weather and as we live in Thailand is the best place for it. It does rain time to time and it's good when it's cools the temperature dawn. And when it's raining here it's happens 1-2 hours per day which is perfect. Sometimes I like to get wet under a warm showery rain.
Since we live here I am not really comfortable with cold weather but time to time a do miss it. If we get to cold weather areas I do enjoy it for 1 or 2 weeks but it's way much enough for me.
What I miss from Europe weather is the autumn. The fall - the colorful trees and the smell of the season. The leafs and nuts under the trees to pick, and the Indian summer with lot's of sunshine and around 20 C temperature.
But in the end I love the weather here and I prefer not to be cold 😉...
