Have you been traveling and run into an unexpected concert or festival that you were not aware of?
From time to time we run into a festival or concert that we are not expecting and it has enhanced the trip.
I was in Christchurch, New Zealand in 1990 and found out Elton John was playing that night. It was an outdoor concert and amazing.
When in Laos, we knew the boat festival was going on but we had no idea what a big idea it would be. We believe that most of the people in Laos and Thailand may have attended this festival. It is well worth going to Laos during the boat festival.
When we were in Brussels, the Folk Heritage Festival was going on. We had no idea this festival existed. It was wonderful.
What festivals or concerts have you run into along the way?
Reply to this I was traveling in Belgium a few years ago and unexpectedly came upon a gigantic festival in Ghent... it was incredible! I forget the name of the festival but it was something man, the stage was set across one of the canals and floating bars were placed all down the canal.. such a great time! I love when the unexpected turns out to be a great experience.

What month were you in Ghent?
Reply to this I was traveling in Asia and attend the South Asian Festival. This is a full day event showcasing arts, culture, food and music of the various countries of South Asian. And also It's a free event with non-stop entertainment. It was really incredible. In this festival also including the classical, bollywood dance performances and bhangra. Such a great experience!!!
