When I read the question nothing leaped to mind but then I read the list and actually found two on the list that I have been to.

I laughed when I saw Casa Bonita, Lakewood, Colorado on the list. I'm actually a bit surprised it is still in business because the food is very ordinary or less. I read that they had a few issues with the health department in the 1970's. .... a long time ago so they must have cleaned up. It is lovely instead--lush greenery and waterfalls, strolling maricahis and cliff divers. It provides plenty of entertainment.

We've also done the Sounds of Silence dinner out in the desert near Uluru Rock. It is an astronomy dinner with champagne and table cloths. It was amazing watching the sunset over Uluru, the wind blowing the stars shining. Listening to music and the astronomer was a wonderful evening.

One of my favorite waterfront restaurants is in Barbados. If you are in the area drop by Josef's and have a fine meal.
It is located in St. Lawrence Gap.

The Church Brew Works in Lawrenceville, Pennsylvania is unique. (suburb of Pittsburgh)
It is a lovely old church remodeled into a restaurant and brew pub. It is a great place for a few beers and they have great food.

No longer in business is the Spirit of Washington Wine Dinner Train in Renton, Washington It used to go from Renton to the Columbia Winery. They served a nice meal and you could sample Columbia wines on the way up to the winery. It was a lovely trip. Too bad they closed, it was nice.

Rotating restaurants are always a lure for me as I'm always in search of a nice view and they always seem to be in one of the taller buildings in town. Two that not only offer good food but a good view are in Sydney, Australia and the one in Seattle, Washington. Worth a stop in both towns. Reply to this

Also suprised to find Jumbo in HK still in business...I ate a very bland meal of Koi there 27 years ago!

Have done the revolving restaurants in Sydney and Perth, the tramcar in melbourne and the sounds of silence at Ayres Rock/Uluru.

A Mongolian restaurant in Taichung, Taiwan where your party is seated in a yurt. Since each group of diners has their own yurt, you have lots of privacy as you eat! Reply to this

Most unusual is probably Archipelago in London believe it or not, from the outside it looks like a normal restaurant but inside every chair, knife, fork, spoon & plate is from a different country and absolutely nothing matches, which adds to the novelty in my opinion and the menu is very different.

We had Wildebeast & Crocodile as our main courses and as a side dish I had to try the 'love bug salad' which consisted of salad, crickets and locusts and for dessert chocolate covered scorpion. 😊 Reply to this
