Im doing some research for flights to our trip to the USA.. but unsure which ones to chose..

theres;

economy.
premium economy.
buisness class.
first class.

can someone explain what each are, and which you would recommend for me to go through. (australia to usa- 16 hour flight)

also i have the following options;

air pacific
air china
china easter airways
china southern airways
hawaian airlines
air new zealand
delta airlines
V australia
Qantas
american airlines
Air Tahiti Nui

im not sure which to go for.. im a bit iffy on qantas after a few things that has happened lately.. and im terrified of planes and prefer ones which havent had problems..

G'day mate,

Well I am not too sure on the airlines as I go for the cheapest flights I can find which puts me in economy section above.. It is going to vary greatly for each airline also which seating you choose. I have flown economy with several airlines and each time it is different and I am pretty sure it would be the same for premium economy, business class and first class. For example Etihad airways economy would be more like premium economy on Air Asia,

But the more you pay the more comfort your going to get.. I was lucky enough to fly first class twice, once with Thai and the second Etihad (travellers tip: I always ask for a free upgrade and it worked twice! if not ask for seats with extra leg room for the long flights as I am fairly tall and smile and say please. No harm in asking 😊) and it was perfect.. I sort of felt out of place sitting up the front getting champagne before takeoff but I did get a great sleep.

Premium economy would be great for me but I am not too fussy with seating etc but as I said you may need to check with each airline to see the differences with premium economy, business class and first class.

I am a little worried about Qantas also.. even today the Herald Sun Headline 'Crash fear in Qantas drama'..

If you can afford 1st class do it!!

Most airlines have great service in 1st class so I'm not sure that is a concern. You should fill out there frequent flyer card and accrue air miles.

well wont be going 1st class!

Sydney to Newyork(which i found out is 24 hours long!! as it stops at LAX first..) was the origional plan.. but now sydney to LAX(13hr flight) $1300 by NZ airlines or V AUSTRALIA economy. 1st class? $9,000!!!!!!!!!!!! talk about expensive! lol

Im just worried because i am terrified of planes, but dont want that stopping me from travelling. ive only been domestic once, and it was about 2 hours?.. that was ok.. but getting hard enough!! with a 13 hour flight.. im hoping it goes well 😞

my partner said to me, you know V australia (which i beleive is virgin correct me if im wrong) are old qantas planes.. but you never heard of crashes back then! in faxt qantas used to be the only plane that hadnt crashed.. now.. so much is going wrong!!

my partner has a frequent flyer card!! :D :D :D i just realised! woo hoo! Reply to this
