Can a minor travel unaccompanied from America to Vietnam?

I'm fifteen and would like to visit a friend in Vietnam. If I have a passport and parental permission, will I be able to get a tourist visa, and travel by myself to Vietnam? Reply to this

Hello Alex 😊

Since you have your parents permission, I think you would be able to get the visa and go to Vietnam by yourself. But, your parents dont only need to give permission. They would also need to fulfull some airlines regulations. Those can involve filling in a form saying that if an emergency arrises while you are on the flight, they will cover whatever it costs for the airline to get you back to your parents. The airline may also ask that there is somebody of adult age at the destination airport waiting to pick you up at the airport. What the regulations are specifically will depend on which airline, and in which country, so contact the airline you want to fly with to find out for sure what their specific regulations are.
