I'm arriving Bangkok in January, can anyone please tell me best area to stay in ie Khao San, Petchburi, riverside etc. I'm 19 and travelling with my girlfirend if you can recommend a specific Hotel even better thanks heaps. Also were going to Kanchanaburi (River Kwai) Ayathuya (Temples) before heading over to Cambodia to see Angkor Wat, is there any other must sees before I head to Cambodia. Thanks Reply to this

Hello Brody,

I would suggest you to have a look at HostelBookers where you will find a huge number of hostels in Bangkok to stay in. I'd recommend you Urban house hostel, which is highly rated for people who have been there and it does only private rooms and is located on Saladaeng, Silom - the heart of Bangkok’s business, tourist and entertainment district.

At HostelBookers you can also find lots of information about events and activities worlwide as well as travel news to be uptodate about what's going on in the world.

hope this helps,

enjoy your trip to bangkok,

Hi

khao san is as good as most bit noisy if you want it a bit quieter but still close to Khao san try Soi Rambuttri, Bella bella and also Merry are both good bets at between 150 - 250B a night. If you want something a bit nicer then on the Khao San there is D&D Inn about 750B for a double its clean and you get breakfast, swimming pool, massage, hair care etc are also available, air con aswell and you can walk to some of the main tourist areas.
