Hey guys I just had a couple of questions for people who travel with partners
1} Are you guys wary of hidden cameras in Hotels and Lodges where you stay ? How big is a concern is this and what precautions do you take ? Do you forgo sex for this reason ?
2} Which is more fun ? Sex at home or while Travelling ??
3} Have you had experiences where you had great sex under the influence of something you saw or experienced on the trip ? for example -

I have never been concerned about things like hidden cameras. I presume that hotel owners dont do things like that, because if it was ever found out it would ruin the hotel reputation. The staff on the otherhand can have fewer scruples. I have heard of hotel rooms with peep holes etc in the walls, more likely in some countries than others. I dont forgo sex because of it. I just try to make sure the hotel room does not have any peep holes in the walls.
In answer to the second question, I dont really have a preference, except the we often share a room with our daughter while travelling, making it impossible.
I think there is nothing erotic about the temple in Khajuraho. I dont see how that would make a person more interested in sex. It is a bit like reading the Kama Sutra verses. They have so little relevance to modern relationships.

Reply to this Just taking another look at those photos of the statues in the Khajuraho temple. Didnt anyone in those days need privacy? There isnt one single photo where the couple having sex dosent have a number of observers, helpers or participaters. That alone is enough to put me off being influenced to want sex.
Reply to this Myself and my partner plan on doing a RTW trip together and this topic has crossed my mind when I think about the OZ and NZ part of the trip because we plan on buying a camper van for the entire trip there. I can't imagine it is quite as private as a hotel room and i'm a bit worried about the suspension hahahahaha 😱

Reply to this I'm one of the stranger ones in that I've actually only had sex during travels...never at home...so I really can't tell you if its better or not...
As for the peeping thing, I've vaguely thought about what it was like if someone was watching me...I guess its ok as long as they enjoyed themselves and didn't make it public...then again, I am pretty liberal in terms of sex.
However, I have never, EVER had sex where it might disturb others (like hostel dorm rooms) or in glaring public...I hate being a nuisance to people

i have read a number of blogs , some complaining about cases like this. Is it just an issue of economics? Or is it the thrill (though i fail to appreciate that) or the "exhibitionist" nature of some travelers?

You know I have read of instances where this kind of hidden camera stuff has happened before and nothing has been done because shocked couples were overwhelmed by the powerful 'hotel - police' nexus that existed.The hotel owners were sometimes powerful politicians too. There was a case where a high profile Indian movie star was caught on hidden camera while she undressed and bathed. I am not sure much damage was done to the hotel in way.. They just got away..
I suggest - do it under the blankets..

Some even complain, when they can hear somebody in another room having sex.
I can hear the neighbours in the appartment above me, on the rare occasions that they do it. They have little kids, so I suppose that is why they dont do it often enough to irritate me.

If everybody knows about it, they didnt really get away with it. Nobody would stay at that hotel knowing what happened.

Reply to this I have read about hidden cam in hotel somewhere else on internet. People will use camera detector to prevent this. It's a small dongle like USB pen drive and it's cheap. Do you know what's inside the mirror in the toilet? Better be safe.

Reply to this Sorry I find this thread hilarious - sometimes people take themselves too seriously. What do you expect to happen? One night in Paris style videos hitting the shelves? Ok I can understand females travelling alone to have perhaps a thought at the back of their mind (until this year ive always travelled alone and have never scanned a room for peep holes or hidden cameras) but come on folks!
My partner and I choose to have loud outrageous several hour long sex sessions at home and away and I dont give a shit if anyone cares - I know if anyones heard us from the dont look at
THEM downcast glances at breakfast - so what? If someone goes home from their holiday and all they can talk about is the shocking behaviour of the old folks in the room next to them...well, they need to learn to holiday better. On the rare ocassion that there are children in adjoining rooms we just ask to move or upgrade to another room. My philosophy is the chances of being in the next room to a person in a hotel in a foreign country recognising us somewhere down the track in some other country and remembering Oh, you are the people who couldnt behave yourselves is a zillion to one. If they do remember me for that...well, I mustve been ontop of my game 😉
On the subject of dorms...20 odd years ago in Amsterdam I was in a dorm with a girl who turned out to be a "screamer" and liked to bring guys back - a few pillows and backpacks thrown in that direction quietened that down...no big deal.
Tina - In Aus we have these things called parking bays out on the open roads. Park your campervan (a friend of mine has a campervan rental business and has 4WD heavy suspension ones, they are available, you will be fine) between two large trucks and have fun...no one will care. If you are in a caravan park just make sure you dont get the spot next to the laundry/shower block and er...go for it...😱
