Warmapple Ian Robinson Post Count: 28 Msg: #1 25 weeks ago, July 12th 2009 | Hello, | Can anyone tell me if the ISIC card is worth buying for £9 Thanks Ian AnnaAdventuring Anna Louise Post Count: 119 Msg: #2 24 weeks ago, July 16th 2009 | I always buy one. I use it as my general student card for getting discounts in shops across England and it's useful for travelling. I have bought discount flights with it, and I've never had it turned down in any country (unless they simply don't do student discounts). | appro chris davies Post Count: 57 Msg: #3 24 weeks ago, July 16th 2009 | Anyone know how to get one if you're not a student? :) | Warmapple Ian Robinson Post Count: 28 Msg: #4 24 weeks ago, July 16th 2009 | there are other versions on sta travel web site but im not sure what they do | Snap Shot Stacey Stacey Hatton Post Count: 243 Msg: #5 24 weeks ago, July 17th 2009 | They have a card available for full time teachers and a card available for those under 26. If you don't fall into either these or the student category then you're not able to get this card. | AnnaAdventuring Anna Louise Post Count: 119 Msg: #6 24 weeks ago, July 17th 2009 | They are pretty lax about checking your student details though. The last one I bought I just paid for online and entered the name of my uni and the card came through the post and I added my own photo. No-one checked whether I was at the uni, and I could have put anyone's photo in the slip! | I don't know how many countries the youth card and teacher's card are recognised in though - although they would still enable you to purchase the discount flights and so on. Yeah, he gave me the card to put the photo into. So far i havent found many opportunities to use it (outside of cinemas) but maybe i just havent been pushing hard enough...its not bad for 9 pounds and looks kinda official. | AnnaAdventuring Anna Louise Post Count: 119 Msg: #8 21 weeks ago, August 7th 2009 | You can use it in any shops that offer student discount. When travelling a lot of hostels accept it. Just get in the habit of flashing it everytime you have to pay for something! :) | Number of Users: 5 | Number of Posts: 8 | ||||||||||||||||
