Aspiring Nomad cannot be considered adventurous until he reports from Limerick City, on the west coast of Ireland, also known as 'Stab City'! ;)

Connor: Do you work for the Limerick tourist board? Attracting the extreme traveller - bored with the worlds hotspots... ;)
Back to topic... Some nice South East Asia blogs at the mo: hez and anna Mike and Charlotte Bex and Rich Cinders James Emma and Karl Gerry and Denise - the big draw seems to be Angkor Wat...

One of the joys of this site - finding a blog you didn't really know much about. Just been digging into 'Bedridden's' journey though the Middle East and Africa, it's really great, can't wait for the next entry. Reply to this

I link my favorites in the highlights section that's on the front page of travelblog - but I have a confession - I no longer read all the journals! There are now too many :)
What am I missing? Which are your favorite journals - be it for the photos or writing or just the crazyness!
So a few that I follow: russ, aspiringnomad, Sken like a Ribble fluke

I don't know if "active" is the right word!

This is a thread from the old days of Travel blog that I have just stumbled upon. I checked out all of the bloggers listed above and many of them were fine writers. Too bad they are no longer blogging.
The only one still writing is aspiringnomad and we are all big fans of his work. Maybe he should get a longevity award.
I wish they would write in and update us on what they are doing. I'm sure it would be fascinating to know where they are, what they are doing and why they stopped blogging.
Ali- did you ever read Dark Star Safari? What did you think of the book and what do you think of Paul Theroux's writing style? Reply to this

Wow, it's funny to see how a forum post can come alive ;) This forum post started in 2004 - 2005 and now come along again in 2011... I hope this topic will get more attention in the future. I'll send my favorites soon but there are so many of them. Soon... - lets get started ;)
For me (may be not that adventures) is ThroughMyEyes I do love how this guy travel with his daughter and he is a mystery for me. ;) I just simply like it and the way he writes in the name of her daughter...

Ha! Yeah, I'm living and working in Shanghai now, so in effect less alive but more active!
