I\'m leaving for Tanzania on May 21st. Since I\'m a bit sensitive to mosquito bites, I\'ve been thinking about taking a mosquito net for my stay at the tented camp sites. I\'m travelling with OAT travel and staying at Lake Burunge, Tloma Lodge and Serengeti Camping. Does anyone know about these places and whether or not I should bring a mosquito net?
Reply to this Hi Maria,
If you are traveling to Serengeti and sensitive to mosquitoes, then carrying a insect/mosquito repeller is better than a mosquito net.
A repellent is simpler to carry while traveling and can be used even while you are on the Safari, also its not as restrictive as a mosquito net.
Reply to this Hi Tanya,
I should have been more specific. I am taking an insect repellent. I'm thinking net for inside the tent at night when I'm sleeping.
Thanks

Be sure that your insect repellant has at least 15%!D(MISSING)EET. Otherwise it will not be effective enough. There is a good one called OFF!, produced in the US if you can find it. It is especially good because it comes in a good spray can, so can be used to get rid of things like spiders when you dont know if they are poisonous or not. I used it when I was in the jungle in Thailand.
