Hello,
Just wondering if anyone can help out with a a few visa questions about living abroad....What must i do if when i'm traveling and find a place i would like to settle in for a while...Do i go to immigration in that country and if so what do i apply for? or is there a different way? thanks....

It depends on which country. And if you want to work it is generally a bit more complicated than if you have enough money to support you while you are there.
Choose the countries you will settle in carefully, because you wont even be allowed to stay in some.
