best route round SE asia

Where is your location my friend? and where do you want to travel to in each country? If I know it, I can give you my advice on the best and cheapest way to travel.

hey i am currently in koh phan ngan (spelt wrong i know!) i want to see northern thailand and cambodia laos and vietnam - i really want to do the boat ride down the river from i think cambodia Reply to this

I would head back to the mainland up to Bangkok along to Siem Reap to Phonm Pehn then to Saigon then to Hanoi down to Laos then Thailand Reply to this

Wow thats great to hear I am going to Sydney to work my way up the east coast congratulations on becoming a Dive Professional...We actually used buses so can't help you on the river sorry Reply to this

I am sorry for my late reply.
You can travel as Scuba Bruce directed, or you also can make a loop from chiangrai by boarding a boat traveling along the Mekong river to Luang Prabang ( Laos), then take a train or by air to Hanoi ( Vietnam). After visit Hanoi, travel southwards by air or train to Hochiminh City ( Vietnam). From Hochiminh city you can travel by air or train to Phnompenh ( Laos), then Siem Riep ( Laos). Finally back to Bangkok to departure for your home.
