You can travel as Scuba Bruce directed, or you also can make a loop from chiangrai by boarding a boat traveling along the Mekong river to Luang Prabang ( Laos), then take a train or by air to Hanoi ( Vietnam). After visit Hanoi, travel southwards by air or train to Hochiminh City ( Vietnam). From Hochiminh city you can travel by air or train to Phnompenh ( Laos), then Siem Riep ( Laos). Finally back to Bangkok to departure for your home. Once again, sorry for my late reply. If you have any more queries, feel free to contact with me at anytime.
