Anybody used a solar charger for their phone/mp3 player/camera on a long-haul trip?
Hi everyone!
I'm heading off on a long-haul trip to central and south america in a couple of weeks. A friend of mine just gave me a going-away present of a Solio solar charger (http://www.solio.com/charger/). You can get different connectors and so it can be used to charge most of your electronic devices-I have used it to charge my phone and it seems pretty good.
I was wondering whether anyone has used one of these before-is it really capable of being a substitute for carrying all the individual mains chargers for your phone/ mp3 player/ camera?? Almost sounds too good to be true! I don't want to leave all the chargers at home to find out it's not going to be any use at all...
Any thoughts?
