Kind of new here too... been on the road a month now.
I'm from London but like a few others I'm kind of homeless and jobless right now. Moving to Edinburgh when I return to the UK where I've been half-living for the past year or so.
So when people ask where you're from, I've been switching between Edinburgh and London... noticed that people seem to react better to Scotland. There seems to be a certain negative judgement towards me if I say I'm from England, anyone else noticed that?? Reply to this

people who judge you based on where you are from are probably not worth getting to know anyway. i've learnt from travelling that you can't really steriotype nationalities and that most people tyou meet on the road are really cool. Reply to this

I'm from Lousiana (the states). I'm 20 years old and just started traveling not long ago. My first trip, and my first journal entry here, was to Colorado. I really don't know anyone who likes to travel. I know two people, but one is in college and works and the other is in the marines. So, I'd really like to meet someone who likes to travel as well, but so far the only people I have come across I stopped talking to because they were very arrogant, etc. Reply to this

I was born in one place (north of Sweden), raised in many. Never spent more then 4 y in one location. And then as an adult Ive moved around (Scotland, Spain, Ireland and Guatemala). Hm... Ive heard that home is where your heart is but are you from your home? well, Im travelling but "home" is in Guatemala by the beautiful Lago Atitlan. Reply to this

I'm from Norway, but concider myself a small part American, event though I only lived there for a year. The way I see it, the amount of time you spend in a place doesn't matter as long as it feels "home" to you. Reply to this

Born in Italy. Lived in the Pacific Northwest, Argentina, Brazil and Switzerland.
BTW Elena, I am not sure you'd enjoy traveling too much if you had 20 million dollars... You'd meet the wrong people.
