I flew through the air when I was 5 on a 747 headed for Hawaii, luckily my Dad had super quick reflexes and grabbed my ankle before I hit the ceiling. Several flight attendants and passengers were severely hurt and we had to divert to San Fran.

I wear my seatbelt without fail on all flights, not going to tempt fate twice. Reply to this

He was sitting at the back of the plane with all the smokers, oh the 70s. I remeber you could hardly see the passengers from the blue haze of smoke. Crazy! Reply to this

Nothing that intense, but I do have a story. I flew out of Salt Lake City once, and the plane took off west over the lake. It then banked to turn east, and hit turbulence. We had to endure nasty shaking for the next fifteen minutes, looking almost straight down at the lake the whole time. Its the closest I've ever come to feeling that a crash could actually happen. The ride was so bad the pilot came on the intercom afterwards and apologized : ) Reply to this

I remember being in the area of a taifun on my way to Kuala Lumpur and it was a little bit turbulent. But at the end there were no real problems. Reply to this

On our recent flight from Cartagena to New York we hit some unexpected turbulence. It was rough for a few minutes and your mind does terrible things in a short period of time. The faces of the flight crew intensified my feelings. The pilot came on and apologized. I was happy when the plane began to fly smoothly again. Reply to this
