Starbucks breakfast and then bus to bus station at 1130am. Had to wait around the bus station for 90mins but meant got to know the group a bit better! 4 hr bus journey to paracas was pretty comfortable as the bus was nice and spacious but just a bit slow up the mountains!arrived at paracas and our hotel had been upgraded so were staying in a nicer hotel with a pool! Had a group dinner at a seafood restaurant-cost £5 for a 2 course dinner!ryan tried the ceviche (raw fish cooked in lime)! So to make my way through southern Peru I booked an all in 1 hop on, hop off bus ticket from a company called Peru Hop. The company is run by 2 Irish guys and overs a variety of routes starting in Lima (office in Miraflores) or Cusco (office on same street as Pariwana hostel nr San Fransisco Sq). I got a ticket from Lima to Cusco (without the lake) for $169 with my 1st stop being Paracas. Paracas is a small seaside village (town?) located 4hrs south of Peru. das peruanische service geht mir heute ein bisschen auf die nerven. frühstück ist wieder erst um halb zehn, aber heute kriegen wir keine eier. und auch keine teller. und den zweiten saft erst nachdem wir mit dem frühstück fertig sind. und lächerlich wenig butter. dafür werden wir drei mal gefragt, welches zimmer wir haben… das ärgert mich heute. ich dachte, ich hätte mit dem hier zumeist gegenwärtigen service-gedanken (also dem nicht gegenwärtigen!) schon frieden geschlossen. nein. der fehlende drive, die fehlende freundlichkeit und das alles bei nicht ganz sooo günstigen preisen. das macht mich etwas stinkig. aber nur kurz! bald hat mich markus wieder überzeugt, dass man daran nichts ändern kann und ich mich völlig umsonst aufrege… ich denke dann an mein schwesterherz, wie sie den kellnern hier die leviten lesen würde, und muss schmunzeln. und ... read more

Day 41 Today was a free morning allowing for a welcome sleep-in after the late night drinks last night. After breakfast in pleasant temperature we walked the Miraflores promenade overlooking the beach to get some much needed exercise. We returned to the hotel by 1pm to load our luggage into a minivan back to Lima's bus station for another local bus to our next stop, Paracas (approx 3 hrs). The trip down was along the coast with some obvious nice beachside housing scattered along the way while on the opposite side of the highway the initial outlook was mostly bald sandy hills occasional scattered with shanty towns but then opening up to some agricultural farming on flat plains. Atsikeliam neskubėdami, papusryčiaujam ir keliaujam su visom kuprinėm į miestą. Paprastai čia vos ne kiekvies automobilis siūlosi padirbti taksistu, bet kaip tik šiandien kai išeinam iš namų su visais daigtais, aplink nė vienos mašinos. Paėję gal 10 min. pagaliau pagaunam vieną taksistą kuris mus nuveža iki viešbučio kuriame dirba Edgardo. Paliekam čia daigtus ir einam į kavinę dar šiek tiek pasibendrauti prieš išvažiuojant. Pabendravę apie pusantros valandos, keliaujam į autobusų terinalą, kur nusiperkam bilietą iki miesto Ica. Kelionė apie 3 valandas. Iš čia keliaujam į miestą Pisco, dar apie valandą. Tada, jau sutemus iki miestelio ant Ramiojo vandenyno kranto - Paracas. Čia susirandam pigiausią nakvynę, bet su labai draugiškais šeimininkais.
