After 9 hours sleep we thought it best that we get up and breathe the morning air before breakfast. There's a short hike up to a lookout point and so while James ran back and forth a couple of times, I walked up to the top and back. Breakfast was good and we had these delicious banana scones. The morning activity was coconut jewellery making, and it's amazing what you can do with a coconut shell and some sand paper! The rest of the morning was spent hanging around in a hammock, sun bathing on the beach or swimming in the sea. Unsere letzte Nacht auf den Fiji Inseln haben wir in einem richtig geilen Resort verbracht! Aus bisher nicht ganz durchschaubaren Gründen, standen wir auf der Fähre plötzlich mit einem 160 Dollar Gutschein, da wir eine Nacht gebucht hatten, die weit günstiger war, als wir in unserm Paket bezahlt hatten…kurzerhand haben wir den Gutschein auf den Putz gehauen und uns ein richtig schickes Zimmer, das “Junglebure” auf Mantaray Island gebucht! Das Essen, das auf einer Terrasse mit Sonnenuntergangsview serviert wurde, war ein richtiger Schmaus! Aktiv waren wir an dem einen Tag nicht wirklich…ein bisschen Schnorcheln und zum letzten Mal das Meer auf Fiji geniessen…ich hab einen Nightdive also Nachttauchen gebucht und hab natürlich als Ehrengast einen Divemaster für mich alleine gehabt…ne Spass es war einfach niemand anderes an einem Tauchgang interessiert…Tintenfische, Stachelrochen, schlafende... read more

Der grosse Katamaran, der die Yasawas abfährt und sowohl Menschen als auch Güter an die Inseln verteilt, bringt und auf unsere erste Insel…zumindest fast! Man wird von einem kleinen Motorboot abgeholt und zum Strand gefahren, denn einen Steg gibt es auf den meisten kleinen Inseln nicht…traditionell werden wir von ein paar Leuten mit einem Lied direkt am Strand empfangen! In diesem kleinen Resort hat der Zyklon etwas heftiger gewütet und einige der kleinen Bures (kleine Hütten mit Strohdach, die wirklich schön wären) haben doch erheblichen Schaden davongetragen, aber davon lassen wir uns nicht die Laune verderben… Die Insel hat ein kleines Dörfchen am anderen Ende, das wir mit der Managerin besuchen…wir schippern also in einem kleinen Boot ans andere Ende der Insel und uns wird die kleine Inselschule gezeigt! BULA!!! Saturday 22nd September - Tavewa Island (Coral View Resort) and the Blue Lagoon …continued… We were due to go snorkelling in the Blue Lagoon this afternoon but in the end decided to go to ‘Suntan Beach’ because we could only go at low tide. So Sarah, Brian, Sophie, Leonie (had met her on Bounty, she’d newly arrived on Coral View at lunchtime), Dominique, Marc (from our room) and I headed out in the boat across the lagoon. We were not sure where we were going and then we saw a little bar of sand in the distance about 100metres off the nearest beach.
