While the description says Mt Macedon, it is really a large area that includes a number of wineries. We visited two on a trip from Kyneton Bushland Resort. The scenery and ambience were lovely. It would be true to say that each season in these areas would highlight a different aspect of scenery. Our visit was probably a week or two early for what looks like would be a stunning show of daffodils at Hanging Rock winery. Should mention in passing, that they also run a beef cattle property and have a quantity of prime beef for sale. Paramoor winery has history a plenty. The photos did not captute everything, but well worth a visit just for the history. Get a good understanding of how the wines are produced and why.... read more

Organ Pipes and Hanging Rocks I'll start updating this blog more regularly again from this week on. My lectures are slowly getting past de introductory phase. It was about time, because we're already 3 weeks in the 12 week short semester. Especially the neuroscience classes really complement my curriculum. It's eM the story-telling slacker! But tis finally the season, hence i'm feeling all merry - cracked the first door on my advent calendar this morn - wow, you can't imagine the excitement - couldn't even see properly for all the sleep in my eyes but could taste the chocolatey goodness so all was right with the world. It's going to be a good day. Plus - it's worth mentioning that it was Woolies chocolate too - mom sent me an advent calendar all the way from home as part of my birthday parcel - she's a real keeper. This doesn't mean that Sime doesn't have to get me one as well - alas - he did not have one waiting for me this morn (slacker) so we shall have to make a special trip to ... read more

Hi there badgers! Figured I’d send a quick update before we head out on the road again - yip Trevor is growing restless which means we gotta swing by BP, give him a feed and head for the outback! We’ve been back in Macedon (just outside Melbourne) for just over a week now - daily hot showers and monster feeds - a fruit picker’s dream! Tasmania was amazing and we will definitely be going back...in the Summer! The grapes ran dry during the final 2 weeks of our stay - we had the odd day picking here and there but we were mainly beetling around in Trev and taking in the sights! One of them being the Cadbury's factory of course! Shucks i was SO excited - it was a Thursday and Slimey was having a ... read more
