Hi all. Finally left Cairns at about 9.15am on Sunday 17th. We were planning to get about half way to Weipa which is in the Cape Peninsula. We got to Port Douglas as a first stop and the girls decided they loved the market and the shops and then decided they wanted to have lunch there. Two hours later we were still there. A five minute stop. Haha. Finally after lunch we left being over one hour behind schedule. The landscape had changed significantly and there were a lot of cane fields and sub tropical vegetation. We went past a few towns including Laura and Lakefield. We finally found a dry creek bed full of sand. Olen sattunud 4 tundi Cairnsist pohja tootama 78 elanikuga linna. Esimene oo Lauras. Peale p2ris pikka soitu joudsime lopuks p2rale. Olen 4 tundi Cairnsist pohjas. Ma ei saanudki t2pselt aru, kas siin elab 21 voi 50 inimest, aga v2he igatahes. Mu uus boss Kev on paras aussi karakter. Isegi tema puhtast aussiaktsendist on natuke keeruline aru saada. Nalja ta igatahes viskab, mis on hea. Toost nii palju, et teha tuleb koike - sooki koogis, jooke baaris, koristada ja kuna siin on mingi k2mpinguv2rk ka k2imas (ma joudsin kohale p2ris pimedas, nii et ma pole veel eriti ringi nuuskinud) siis tuleb selle reserveeringuid ka teha. DAY 341 Last night had not worked out as per my original plan, Andy went to bed early but I decided to stay up a little longer as we had power I looked online for the catch up episodes of what seems to have become my favourite Australian drama, “Packed to the Rafters”. I sat on the bed with my earphones in and watched the usually hour long episode now crammed into 40 minutes because there are no adverts (great!). Andy slept beside me not even stirring.
