The few days before heading to Ohio to collect the kids were spent packing, storing and preparing some more. Things are certainly not done, and we left with a long to do list...but we had to take the time to go get our kids and see Mark's parents. Hello friends and family, We finally arrived back at home yesterday, Wednesday, July 23, 2008 after 6 weeks of traveling. We flew in to Fort Lauderdale from Honduras, spent a couple days in Florida with family, then made a couple stops in Georgia on our way back home. Yes...as u can see, another animal has decided that living was perhaps not for them and died. This time it was the guinea pig, Brownie. Pretty sure that she overheated as it has been especially hot over the past few days. Didnt really get a send off like a pet would get if i was back at home...instead it was a case of throwing it in the trashcan...not my idea...just following instructions! We took possession of the RV and made a trip to Walmart for the things we needed to fill it ...ugghhh that was painful....as if the RV purchase wasn't enough! The only thing left to pack is food and clothes. I always overpack, but need to think like an RV'er and realize that there is a laundry area at the campground. I've been told by coworkers who grew up in Michigan that we'll have warm days and cool nights so take both shorts and pants....that really helps the packing situation! Yes...another camp has been completed. The longest one is over and everyone is now attempting to rest and regain their sanity before the final kids camp which is another social services camp, starting on Wednesday! Few things to catch u up on with regards to music camp! Found out that the guy who kept referring to me as beauty and future wife is in fact Destiny's older brother...oh its funny how the world works! Well yesterday i forgot to mention a kid who i am working with at the moment in my singing class. Basically she seems to be challenged in the way that she expresses her emotions and often comes across as slow and as if she doesnt understand. She is also quite easily angered...kinda like a toddler. Basically i am working closely with her (she's called Destiny), gradually teaching her about notes and how to read music. Well we are like mid-way into music camp now...its quite cool to walk through camp and hear a load of little kids sing or play some form of instrument! The majority of them listen as well...thats quite nice! Programme staff have more time off than usual because there are music classes here instead of clubs and our programme areas have to be shorter so that they can fit everything musical in...its nice but harder on the councellors because they have to get their kids from one place to another. We only have 5 days to go!!!! We leave Tuesday at 1pm. Dad bought this movie called National Lampoon's Vacation, he thinks it will be educational for us?? We need to start to pack. It has just snuck up on us too quick. We are going to play the license plate game, but a little differently.
