Another moving day. I feel like the Energizer Bunny…go go go. Still have a date with a camp in Maine and we need a respite from all of this traveling, so the sooner we get there, the better. We left the hotel at 7 AM and 63 degrees. Our first stop, Notre Dame University. I had been there in 1966 on a cross-country road trip with my family while I was in college, and I had photographed the Jesus Wall on the library building. It has always stuck in my head. So I wanted to show it to Steve. It was only 20 minutes from our hotel, so we drove there first before hitting the road. This is a spectacular, iconic image that cries out Notre Dame. We spent some time admiring it and taking photos ... read more

Well, I have my bags packed, for the most part. I have my ticket, Visa, and passport. I'm pretty much ready to bounce outa here. Ok... so maybe my bags aren't totally packed. Day 182 (Sunday 18/10/09, NJJ) Beautiful weather thank goodness. Breakfast at Ponderosa, not as good as I remember it in Florida. Drove to Niagara Falls. Parked up then walked to view the falls on the American side. Walked across to the Canadian side then all the way along the walkway to Horseshoe Falls. The weather was great and it made us feel uplifted. It allowed us to appreciate how awesome the falls are. After a couple of hours in Canada we walked back across to the USA. Back to the car and then on the road to Batavia where we checked into a Best Western in the afternoon. Popped to Wal Mart for buffalo wings for dinner and Jamie bought his Buffalo Bills top. After he watched some NFL we spent some time at the pool ... read more
