My alarm went haywire this morning, the cat threw up, I had an hour delay at the Indian store, the darn speeding ticket, and now I am staying at the lowest budget Best Western I have ever stayed at! The AC barely keeps the room cool enough, the building with the indoor pool is too hot and steamy, the pool has dirt on the bottom, and the hot tub's water is cloudy. There is a bar/restaurant next to the pool. However, the only person in there besides the bartender is some old dude. At least this place has wifi! A storm is heading this way, so all I need now is to have a tornado go through the area tonight! What a day!... read more

I left Bridgeport, Texas with everything going fine. As I pulled into Oklahoma City the motor home backfired and lost power, then it picked up again and off I went. I figured I had got some bad gas (petrol). I met up with Tony Neeves for a very pleasant afternoon in Guthrie, which is about thirty miles north of Oklahoma City. Tony retired recently and has just bought himself a BEAUTIFUL Mercedes, which I enjoyed seeing. We talked about the backfiring and decided that a tank full of premium gas might be just what the vehicle needed. So the next morning (Saturday) I set off; hadn’t gone very far when the coach started backfiring again, so I pulled off at the next exit and put $205 worth of premium gas into the tank. 50 miles down ... read more

Hi Everyone,   Guess what! They changed my Staples remodel destination again. First it was supposed to be New Jersey or Pennsylvania, then it was supposed to be Kernersville, NC. Now I think I actually know where I'm going because I have a flight # and hotel reservation. I'm staying in Bradford, PA and working about a half hour away in Olean, NY. Olean is in the south western part of New York and not anywhere near The City. I do want to do some sight-seeing on our only day off  on Sunday. The closest interesting things are Buffalo and Jamestown, NY and Niagara Falls and they,re about 2 and a half hours away.   We fly out of Wichita on Wed June 2 and flying into Buffalo, NY later that night. That will be cool.   :)   Will tell you more when I ... read more
