Like all good projects there are intermediate milestones which lead to major milestones. Yesterday we hit a major milestone as we departed Ridgecrest and headed down US14 to Palmdale, caught CA138 and breezed across the Antelope Valley. That road took us to a sign that I have seen many, many times growing up in California but it was never been a major milestone until yesterday: US 5 North. From that turn on to 5 in Gorman it is 3,018 miles to Tok, Alaska but we have turned north and we are heading toward our next intermediate milestone, Oh Canada - Northbound, on schedule and just slightly over budget :-)...R&M
