Well it feels like coming home! We start recognizing bits! Banana Bungalows are rocking! At least we can drink here and are actively encouraged to! A little wine, a bit of TV, and an early night. The time has come to go on our little jaunt arond the world. 4 30 am is a bit harsh to be start, Thanks to my (Liam) Mum and Dad for putting us up for the night, and Mum for driving us to the station at that ungodly hour. We meeet up with our friend Eve and her daughter at Heathrow They e off o L. Hej igen. Kedelig dag kørte 640 km. Vi så nok tusind vindmøller lige før vi nåede til Los Angeles. Men vi nåede at stoppe undervejs, købte nogle sokker, og 4 par cowboybukser, billigt herovre. Yay!! I'm in America!!! I was awake for a 32 hour Sunday 7 June, which was very amusing by the end of it :p Katya collected me from the airport (only about an hour in queues for Customs but no problems :) ) driving through LA to get to her house in West Hollywood - you can see the Hollywood sign from her back yard. whats more, yesterday was a very clear day - the view from The Griffith Park Observatory was magic! we then went out to dinner to a Italian-American restaurant where I had Chicken and Spinach Cannelloni with [View Full Entry]

I think I am in culture shock. Okay maybe not shock, but like a stuck in the middle of two cultures, swimming around trying to hold on to those familiar things in two countries that I now call home. In Mexico, I miss the comforts of home. I miss sushi and Thai food, all Asian food actually. We left the brothel hostel early to head to West Hollywood, we got the bus to UCLA which we thought was close by (don't trust the lonely planet!) but it wasn't! So we started hiking down Wiltshire Blvd past these amazing apartment blocks looking for Lauren Conrad! We didn't see her and after about 2 miles we managed to find a taxi, that was about 20 minutes from the hostel and we never would have walked it! Naive English boys! I awoke in Santa Fe and charged to the common room to scope out the remaining chores. For some reason unbeknownst to me the idea of cleaning the toilet out was the most appealing and so I set to it with zeal and aplomb. I spent this morning at the Farmers market on Fairfax, had some nice fresh pineapple for breakfast and got to know my new room mate Christy. Was nice to get some fresh food and checkout some local dishes. I mwt Duncan at 2 and we caught up over lunch, I spent the afternoon doing jewellery sales with him, checking out more studios as we went. Met some cool people and was reminded of my time selling for Zen. We stopped in at Bob Roberts Spotlight Tattoo and Duncan had some new work done by Norm, I booked myself in for tomorrow.
