Trotzdem gits wider e chli öpis z brichte. Ab und ah gömmer nach de Schuel no zäme is Pub zum eis trinke oder an Beach go Ufzgi mache. So wiit laufts zimli guet ide Schuel.

Sodeli sit gester simmer also ide Schuel und sowiit isch alles guet gange.

Well.......here I am at home still, putting my things that I think I will need for the next 35 days into a back pack that seems smaller by the minute. Will be very glad to get on the plane and get away. Must remember to pack with an eye to multiple climates. This is an opportunity to cull the wardrobe and take clothes that can be left behind after being worn. First stop London! I have only booked hotel in Delhi for a few nights and then the train heading north to Himachal Pradesh. At the end of the trip I have 3 nights in Varanasi, which was just confirmed via email from Rajesh. Lots of room in the middle to explore! T... read more

Leg one: Vancouver With snow falling in Toronto at 7am on the morning of Friday January 7th I took off to start my journey. My last couple of nights in Toronto were great. I had learned from previous flights that being hungover made air travel next to unbearable so I had scheduled my goodbye drinks out on Wednesday instead of Thursday. That was a fun night out (albeit the juniors managed to blow a 3-0 lead to the russians in the third) that ended up with some thailand advice from a crazy scotch bonnet eating bartender at the black bull and an impromptu head scab fight (i think the first ever). due to that the next day was spent quietly at home with the fam, some nice cook-up from big mamma, and my last hockey ... read more

Time is running out in Vancouver. Elysia and I are packing our bags, and in fact all of our belongings. We are going to start our new trip in the Netherlands before moving on to Africa. We will be travelling through Egypt and Jordan in search of adventure. Returning to ... not Vancouver ... but Toronto, to start the next big adventure in our lives.... read more

We are here! Finally we have arrived! After a great quick flight from Chch and a long and weary flight, we are here. The flight was good, however we didnt eat tea until 10pm and was rather hungry! You can imagine Rob! We watched a few movies and dozed our way through a 14 hour flight. We arrive in Vancouver to patchy cloud and sun! Not what I had expected, as I was expecting snow and cold! We assembled the bikes in the airport, much to everyones enjoyment. Vancouver has a fabulous 'Skytrain' into the city, which you are allowed to take your bike for free! Its new and relativitely cheap, very convenient for tired kiwis! We walked a few blocks from the stop to a friends house in Fairview, which is 15-20mins walk to Vancouver ... read more

Well, some of my last hours in BC. I believe a tally of sorts is required: -- Total Tim Horton's coffees consumed while in Canada; LESS THAN 20. Who knew that Whistler is a whore for Starbuck's??? I was NOT impressed by this fact. -- Events attended in person; 2. Bobsleigh, my new passion. Was there when Canadian girls got gold and silver! -- Events watched live on TV; As many as I possibly could, even through the curtains while treating clients! (hehehe) Kudos to CTV for their exceptional coverage of the Games. -- Athletes met/treated; tons, and lots from wee countries I didn't even know existed. Have learned sooo much. -- Friends for life made; more than I thought, and they continue to amaze me, even though the Games are over. -- Epic nights out ... read more

We have been so busy travelling back and forth to Whistler the past 2 days, that we haven't had a chance to update until now. Yesterday is the first day since we have been here that we saw real snow!!! Vancouver's weather is so mild that the Cherry Blossoms are blooming. Whistler is 2 hours North of the City and is much colder being so high in the snow covered mountains . On Tuesday, we were there to see the Luge. Wow! They are so fast that even when you are standing right next to the track you can hardly see them whiz past at speeds over 100 Km. Today we saw the Women's Downhill! It was awesome. As you probably know by now Lindsey Vonn and Juia Mancuso won gold and silver medals. It was ... read more

Soči je pač naslednja ... read more
